28mm Rezolution APAC Ninja (Aberrant Games - Painted by Gabriel)

This was a real push for an interesting base. It was my first run with Woodland Scenics "Real Water." I feel it came out looking rather nice. It was also a first try in many years at painting gem-like parts. The final product wasn't bad at all. His counterpart is still on the workbench.

54mm Mexican Infantryman (Conte Collectibles - Painted by Nate)

Here's another fellow from the "Alamo" Range. Normally I don't care for painting blood on a miniature, but here I felt it was necessary to set off the bandage on the face. Another example of block painting, washing, and black-lining with a few three-step shades here and there. A clean, "Toy Soldier" look. I'm pleased.

Space Marines (GW - Painted By Gabriel)

I believe these two are from an old box of Blood Angels Death Company. For a paint job after taking a break for a few years, I think they came out fine. The tactical squad commander--the grey one--was my first attempt at oil washing. All in all, not bad.

54mm Mexican Officer(Conte Collectibles, Painted by Nate)

This fellow is a plastic one, from their "Alamo" range. He is block painted and washed, and a simple three-step highlight and shade was done on his face. I think he looks almost regretful or sad, like a man who has seen too much of war for one day...
